7. Entry and exit procedures
All countries (regions) implement strict inspection procedures for inbound and outbound passengers. The departments handling these formalities are generally located at ports and places where passengers enter and leave the country, such as airports, stations, docks, etc.
Entry and exit procedures include:
Frontier inspection This inspection is carried out by the Immigration Bureau (Aliens Police Bureau) in many countries. The inbound and outbound passengers shall fill in the inbound and outbound registration card (sometimes the airline issues the card in advance), and submit their passports and visas for examination. The contents of the card include name, sex, date of birth, nationality, nationality, marital status, passport type and number, visa type and number, expiry date, port of entry, date, duration of stay, etc. The passport and visa shall be stamped with the stamp of entry and exit verification.
Customs inspectors generally only ask whether there are articles to be declared, but some countries require inbound and outbound persons to fill in the declaration form of articles to be carried. The customs has the right to inspect the luggage and articles carried by the inbound and outbound passengers. Some customs are not very strict in the inspection of personal necessities, clothing, etc., and the holders of diplomatic passports can be exempted from inspection. Various countries have different regulations on the management of inbound and outbound articles, and tobacco, alcohol, perfume and other articles are often released according to the quota. Cultural relics, weapons, local currency, drugs, animals and plants are prohibited goods, and they are not allowed to enter or leave the country without permission. Some countries also require to fill in the foreign currency declaration form, and also need to check when in a situation.
Security check In recent years, due to the continuous occurrence of hijacking incidents, it is increasingly common to take security check measures for passengers boarding and the procedures are increasingly strict. It is mainly prohibited to carry weapons, lethal weapons, explosives, highly toxic substances, etc. Inspection methods include safety door, close inspection with magnetic detector, inspection of handbag, body search, etc. China also implements the internationally common safety inspection method.
Security inspections are often determined according to the situation at that time, the international situation and various other factors, so they are sometimes strict and sometimes lax.
Yellow paper for quarantine inspection. Many countries are exempt from the yellow book for passengers from certain countries and regions. However, for epidemic areas, the inspection is particularly strict. For passengers who have not received necessary vaccination, measures such as isolation and compulsory vaccination will be taken.
