19. Instructions for Exhibitors Abroad 3 - Flying
You should try to be light when flying. According to the regulations, portable items shall not exceed five kilograms, so those that can be checked can be checked randomly or separately. Generally, you can carry an umbrella, coat, walking stick, camera, mobile phone, books and newspapers on the way.
After arriving at the airport, check in first. Submit the ticket to the airport ticket inspection port of the airline for inspection, and weigh the carry-on baggage and fill in the weight on the ticket. After tearing off a copy of the carrier section, the airline will return the ticket, baggage card and boarding card to the passenger. Passengers can get on the plane with their boarding cards and claim their baggage at the destination airport with their baggage cards.
For directly checked baggage, when changing planes on the way, you should take care whether the baggage is transferred to the changed flight. For example, when going to Cairo and crossing Karachi by air, the baggage card should read: starting from Beijing, transferring to Karachi, and ending in Cairo. When the plane arrives in Karachi, try to find out whether the baggage has been transferred to the flight to Cairo before changing planes.
The cabin is divided into first class and second class (economy class). First class is in front of the plane. No matter whether you take the right seat or not, do not seize the seat. Passengers who buy second-class tickets cannot take first-class seats.
The carry-on items can be placed on the overhead luggage rack, and the heavier items can be placed under the seat. But don't put things in front of the safety door or on the access road.
When the plane takes off and lands, it is not allowed to smoke, go to the toilet, fasten the seat belt, and keep the seat straight. At this time, the stewardess often gives candy to passengers and chews it during the flight to avoid eardrum pain due to the change of air pressure.
People who are airsick can take drugs such as sedatives half an hour before taking off. After boarding, they can safely rest on the seat, and there is a cleaning bag in the back pocket of the seat. You can vomit in a bag when you vomit.
There are blowers, spotlights and buttons to call the stewardess above the seats. When you feel stuffy in the engine room, open the blowing valve; Turn on the spotlight when reading books and newspapers; If you want to drink water or buy goods, you can use the button to call the waiter.
For long-distance flights, there are drinks, refreshments, food, breakfast, dinner, etc. on board. In addition to cigarettes and alcohol (including beer), other free supplies shall be paid in cash.
Newspapers and periodicals in various languages are available on the plane for passengers to borrow and cannot be taken away.
Large-scale aircraft often show movies on the journey, but they need to rent earphones to listen to the sound (there are also earphones provided for free).
Don't make noise on the plane, so as not to affect others, especially during the night sleep. When you can't sleep, read books and newspapers instead of chatting with others. The sitting and lying positions on the plane should also be careful not to affect others.
All articles on the plane shall not be taken away, such as sanitary articles in the toilet, publications in the back pocket of seats, cups, plates, knives and forks for meals, small blankets, small pillows, etc.
When the plane lands midway to refuel, passengers usually get off the plane to rest. When getting off the plane, important small items are carried with you, and other items are still on the plane. If a transit boarding pass is issued, sometimes a free drink can be provided with the card. Passengers should not leave the transit waiting room at will to avoid missed flight.
Before arriving at the destination, the aircraft usually broadcasts the local weather conditions on the ground for passengers to get dressed when they get off the aircraft. If they need to change clothes, they should go to the bathroom.
If the weather is bad and the plane is forced to change to another airport in other cities or regions, the airline will take measures, or try to change to other means of transportation, or settle passengers to wait for the weather to improve and continue to fly. All the expenses, including accommodation and board during the stay, are borne by the airline.
If a delegation has a large number of people, count the number of people when getting on and off the plane. But don't line up, don't whistle, don't shout commands, don't make noise.
The checked baggage can be claimed with the baggage card after the entry formalities. Many international airports have baggage conveyor equipment and trolleys. Passengers can push their luggage out of the airport by hand. If there is no such equipment, please ask the baggage handler for assistance, but you should pay a tip.
After disembarking, if the baggage can not be found at the moment, you can inquire through the airport baggage management personnel or the relevant airline, and fill in the declaration form and submit it to the airline. If the baggage is lost, the airline will compensate according to regulations.
Do not touch the equipment on the aircraft (including trains, ships and cars) at will, such as various fire extinguishing devices, safety facilities and emergency brake valve buttons on the train. Some countries stipulate that pressing the emergency brake device without reason shall be sentenced to imprisonment or fine.
