GOTEX Exhibition was started in 2013 to cooperate with China's textile and clothing industry to enter the emerging markets in South America. In accordance with the concept of global supply chain, it aims to create a professional trade procurement platform with Brazil as the center for all-round and in-depth docking with the industries and markets in Central and South America.
At present, all BRICS countries are facing huge challenges. Brazil has experienced economic recession, but it has achieved great economic development in the past 15 years. At present, 55% of Brazil's population has reached above the middle class, and the per capita GDP is still growing rapidly and continuously, from $2000 in 2002 to $10000 now. This is not the first time Brazil has experienced an economic recession in its history. It now has US $40 billion of foreign exchange reserves and will deal with the recession more confidently and peacefully. It is expected that this year, boosted by the Olympic economy, the overall size of the Brazilian clothing market will reach US $65 billion, an increase of 40% over 2001. At the same time, Brazil is a young country, with more than 60% of the population under the age of 29. The annual clothing consumption of its consumers is $402, which is more than six times the average consumption of Chinese consumers, with huge potential.
China is Brazil's largest trading partner, accounting for 18% of Brazil's total foreign trade. Since China became the first textile and clothing importer in Brazil in 2004, the share of Chinese textile products in the Brazilian market has increased year by year, accounting for about 56% of Brazil's textile and clothing imports in 2015. According to statistics, the textile and clothing products imported from Brazil to China in the past three years mainly include woven clothing (24.18%), rayon/yarn/fabric (20.49%), knitted clothing (16.26%), knitted or crocheted fabrics (13.56%), woven fabrics/lace/lace/tapestry (3.43%). Cotton yarn (227.58%), man-made short fiber woven fabric (133.53%) and narrow fabric/fabric/glass fiber roving (126.52%) have the largest increase in import.
In the past three years since GOTEX was held, the organizers have provided comprehensive services for exhibitors and visitors, and the vast majority of exhibitors have highly recognized the organization and quality of the exhibition. ◎ Exhibition site
GOTEX Expo not only prepared the import and export trade practice training meeting for domestic suppliers and Brazilian buyers, the Brazilian textile market introduction meeting, the main Brazilian textile and clothing market visit and other contents for exhibitors, but also provided free translation services in Chinese and Portuguese for exhibitors, and a professional negotiation area for customers. After the exhibition, it will help enterprises continue to track the market and match buyers for enterprises.
In response to the problem that small and medium-sized enterprises in Brazil are not familiar with international procurement and do not understand import operations, which often makes procurement impossible or relatively slow to advance, the sponsor specially studied and developed the "ProB Plan". The plan simplifies the transaction procedures of small and medium-sized enterprises, and its international procurement and customs clearance are all implemented by the China Pakistan Center. After the exhibitors directly deliver the products according to the regulations, they can choose the RMB settlement method to recover the payment for goods at zero risk in China.
