Exhibition Introduction
MOROCCO FASHION&TEX is the largest and most important textile and clothing exhibition in Morocco. The exhibition is hosted by Pyramid Exhibition Group, which has 23 years of professional exhibition experience. The total area of the last exhibition was 15000 square meters, and 306 exhibitors were from Egypt, France, Spain, Italy, Libya, China, Portugal, Mediterranean coastal markets and African mainland markets, with 18000 participants. The biggest advantage of the Moroccan textile industry is that most textile surface accessories and even finished products are imported duty-free. The Moroccan government hopes to accelerate the import of raw materials through the duty-free policy, so as to improve the production speed and output of its finished products and increase the export volume. This policy has also attracted a large number of African and European manufacturers and traders to purchase and trade at international exhibitions in Morocco.
Morocco Textile Exhibition
The textile and clothing industry is the second pillar industry in Morocco, and its annual output value accounts for 9% of Morocco's gross national product and 25% of its gross industrial product. In addition, the textile and clothing industry has also provided 220000 employment opportunities for Morocco, accounting for about 42% of the country's urban employment population. Morocco is an important country in the Mediterranean economic circle. It has signed a preferential trade agreement with the European Union. Its textile and clothing products are exported to the European Union under the zero-tariff policy. In 2005, Morocco signed a free trade agreement with the United States. Textile and clothing products are also one of the duty-free products specified in the agreement. China's textile and clothing trade with Morocco has continued to grow. In 2006, China's textile (fabric, yarn, home textile) exports to Morocco amounted to 223 million US dollars. In 2008, China's textile (yarn, fabric) exports to Morocco amounted to 770 million US dollars. Developing the Moroccan market has great potential for Chinese enterprises. Morocco's clothing industry is developed, but its textile industry is weak. Chinese textile enterprises have great potential in the Moroccan market. In recent years, China's exports of yarn and cotton fabrics to Morocco and other North African countries have maintained steady growth. Secondly, the consumption capacity of Morocco's local market is not large, but taking Morocco as a springboard to develop the EU market can not only avoid the EU quota restrictions, but also enjoy the convenience of reducing costs brought by the mutual exemption of tariffs between the EU and Morocco.
