The exhibition began in 1993, hosted by Peraga Nusantara Jaya Sakti, and jointly hosted by the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Indonesian Textile Association. In April 2018, more than 600 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions participated in the exhibition. The four-day exhibition attracted 18.606 professional visitors. The exhibition covers all kinds of clothing machinery and textiles, and is an important platform to promote China's textile enterprises to enter the Indonesian market, participate in international competition and conduct technical exchanges between China and foreign countries

Why Indonesia? Indonesia's textile, clothing and accessories industry is experiencing unprecedented rapid development. This rapid development rate has exceeded Indonesia's demand. It has become the largest emerging industrial sector in Indonesia to accumulate foreign exchange. The textile industry is an important industry in Indonesia. Of the 94 million employed people in Indonesia, 12% are concentrated in manufacturing (about 11.3 million people), and the employment of the textile industry accounts for about 15% of the manufacturing industry (about 1.75 million people, excluding 2 million indirectly employed people). The textile industry has earned more than US $5 billion annually for Indonesia in the past 10 years. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia, Indonesia's textile exports amounted to 11 billion US dollars in 2008 and 11.8 billion US dollars in 2009. It is estimated that Indonesia's textile exports will reach 13.88 billion US dollars in 2010, earning a surplus of 11.7 billion US dollars. It is expected that 2.25 million new jobs will be created in 2010 and 6.17 million new jobs will be created in 2030.
